Internet Marketing Workflow

In Denver internet marketing is a essential service for any business. We live in a very tech saavy city, and your competitors are definitely doing it – we are seeing a boom in online advertising. Advertising your business in the second decade of the 21st century is largely an online advertising venture if you are a small business.

All of the new terminology of internet marketing, online advertising, pay per click, analytics, and SEM can be confusing to say the least. It is my goal to shield you from having to learn everything yourself and to just rely on my expertise to take care of all the clutter and get you noticed online.

We start with Keyword Research

Keyword research means we find out what the most searched variations of the goods or service wording that prospective clients actually type into online searches to find goods and services that you offer. Our pricing structure is based on how many terms we need to research for you. Up to 10, 11-20 21-40, etc. Each keyword search will come up with roughly 5 to 10 variations of the word or phrase. So a search of 20 phrases will yield 100 to 200 terms! Not just any terms, but the ones most used in searches. Some may vary, but expect to pay about $150 for up to 10 initial terms.

Website Analysis of Your Current Site

I analyze your site from two primary standpoints -
First, “does it have the structure and elements that search engines are looking for?”. This is vital to make sure your site is on the radar of Google, Bing, and Yahoo. Websites are built from code that has elements called “metatags” that have certain parameters that allow the search engines to evaluate your site against all the other sites in cyberspace. It also has titles, headlines, content, links, and other elements that all need to be sending the right message.

Second, “once a visitor arrives from a search engine, is he likely to take the action you want?”. This is a function of website aesthetics, and messaging. You need both to get a client to call you, or fill out your contact form. Call to action in a website is more than a phrase, it’s total user experience.

We will issue a short report on what we feel your site’s chances of positive response from search engines and visitors will be.

Website Design and Website Development

Once your website analysis has been completed, we talk over the website marketing report with you to determine the direction of design (new website or existing website re-design modification) and development.

I can make sites mobile responsive, meaning the same site responds to mobile devices by changing around sidebars and navigation, and footer to read well on both a wide screen PC and a mobile device, rather than simply making everything smaller and unreadable.

Website SEO

Website search engine optimization (SEO) is about on-page development of your web site, and about off-page activities such as social media, link building, and directory inclusion. This is a very complex subject, but suffice it to say, if your web site has not been optimized, you don’t stand a much of a chance of being ranked high enough in search engines to compete.

Writing Website Content

Content is still king in websites however. We are experts at writing copy for websites that both score well with search engines and remain engaging to your human visitors. We have certain word counts that are optimal, locations of key phrases, treatment of key phrases, link treatment, and keyword saturation that we meet.

A simple blog without categories created and optimized. That may be all you need, and it definitely would have the expandability to allow you to create categories if you are comfortable with that. But creating categories for specific marketing and seo functions will require a bit of foresight in initial setup, so I would need to know as we begin.

Social Media Marketing

Sounds pretty catchy, I mean everyone hears these terms now. But what does it mean? Social media is now the best/cheapest way to be seen, so we would probably want to not only add social media sharing features, but also, if you don’t have them already, to set up a Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook business pages. I can also train you on how to use them and make some automated connections so that when you update your blog it posts to various social media.

Tracking Results of Internet Marketing

Google services have come a long way, and we can now add tracking called “Google Analytics” to your site pages and posts (if applicable) so you can view use details such as visitor counts, keywords people type in to find you, where they go within your site, etc.

If we are running a pay per click program, such as Google AdWords or Microsoft AdCenter, we can track such things as number of impressions, number of clicks, cost per click, total cost per keyphrase, rank of where your ad shows for practically any time frame you want – monthly for instance.
